

The Conrad Mansion is a beautiful place for a wedding! The added bonus of having lodging for so many people (wedding party & family!) right there on site is huge. It makes for such a relaxing experience, being able to set up in one space for the weekend. The tree-arched driveway for the ceremony was stunning! And the grounds all around were perfect for so many different photos. Absolutely adore this space! The sheep were a bonus!!
The Conrad Mansion was the perfect place for our wedding weekend celebration! So much room for people to spread out with game room, movie theater, and basketball court it never felt like we had 32 people in the same place. Kim and Jeff were excellent hosts, paying attention to details I hadn't thought of and were very accommodating with last minute requests to ensure our wedding was perfect!

A very special and unique wedding venue surrounded by some of the finest Iowa farmland. The Mansion was a perfect fit for both families and the wedding party and friends, all under one roof! The Carriage House was perfect for the rehearsal dinner on Friday night as well as for the wedding reception, dinner, and dance on Saturday night...The venue owners and their staff were all very friendly and worked with us, and the weather, to pull off a perfect November outdoor wedding ceremony, with a beautiful sunset as the ceremony ended. We would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a one of a kind location and mansion and multiple options for an indoor or outdoor ceremony.
I was there for a wedding 2 years ago and loved the house. From the game room downstairs, to the indoor basketball court & the open land around it.Definitely the perfect wedding venue 🥂.
Our Carriage House indoor venue holds up to 325 guests, and our four outdoor venues can accommodate up to 400 guests.
To reserve your date, we require a Date Reservation Fee upon signing the agreement. This fee is $3,000 for Epic and Mini-Epic Weekend Celebrations,and $2,000 for One Day and Micro-Wedding rentals.
Twelve months prior to your event, 50% of the remaining balance is due, with the final payment due three months before your celebration. You’re always welcome to make smaller or partial payments at any time before these dates—many couples enjoy creating a payment plan that fits their own schedule.
If your event is less than 12 months away, we typically require a 40% Date Reservation Fee, with the remaining balance due three months prior to the event.
If helpful, we’re also happy to adjust the schedule—for example, collecting the Date Reservation Fee at booking, 50% of the remaining balance at nine months, and the final payment at three months. In short, we’ll work together to find a plan that makes sense for everyone.

We suggest you email us to confirm you are ready to book your preferred date and include a backupdate in case your preferred date is unavailable. We know life often gets busy or you may live far away and aren't able to find a date below to tour in person right away. Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. We offer the actual couples tour you would do if you could be here in person, and many book directly after watching the video. No. Many venues set food or guest-count minimums because they earn a 10–15% commission from the caterer based on how much you spend. We chose not to take a catering commission, so your food options can be as elegant or as budget-friendly as you’d like. As a result, we do not have a minimum food or guest-count requirement. We also do not require china—there are many beautiful, affordable disposable options available today, and couples are often surprised to learn they’re disposable until they actually touch them. Some individual caterers may have their own minimums for certain dates.
No, you are free to use your own licensed caterer, but we have a list of several fantastic caterers who have done a great job for our previous couples. They offer a variety of price points with delicious and affordable menu options. Additionally, we have purposely selected small business owners. While no one is perfect and none of our caterers claim to be, working with a small business owner means they are personally invested in the success of your wedding day.

We have over 20 handcrafted, straight, repurposed wooden tables onsite that can be used for a gift table, a head table, or guest seating. We also provide an additional 20 round tables and 400 chairs.”
No. The Conrad Mansion provides an awesome venue, tables, and wedding chairs for the allotted amount of time. You are more than welcome to bring your own linens; however, many couples choose to enjoy the beautiful, repurposed colors of the barn wood on the straight tables and add only a centerpiece.
Unlike many venues, the Conrad Mansion has chosen to limit the total number of ceremonies to ensure a dedicated space under the roof as a backup in case of rain. This means that if the weather turns inclement, the venue doesn’t have to be ‘flipped’ from your ceremony to your reception. The reception tables can all be set up prior to the ceremony and do not need to be moved in case of rain. This ensures a smooth transition into the reception and makes the decision to bring a ceremony inside—or not—much less stressful.
Because we host only one event per weekend, our package rentals keep our fee structure the same whether couples hold their ceremony, reception, or both onsite
We are dog-friendly, with some specific stipulations. Dogs must remain off furniture and out of carpeted bedrooms. There is a $30-per-night-per-dog charge
Our preferred payment method is by check. We do offer payment with credit or debit cards; however, there is a 3.5% processing fee. Wiring instructions and direct deposit details are also provided in the contract.
Couples who choose the ‘EPIC Weekend Wedding Celebration’ for friends and family get the entire estate for the entire weekend. Check-in time is 3:00 PM on Thursday, and check-out is noon on Sunday.
Yes, we do - and they are free. We have several styles of decorations, enough for a wedding of up to 325 guests. You can see everything we have to offer by scheduling a live tour or attending one of our Booked Couples Open Houses after you are booked.
Unfortunately, if you are trying to compare ‘apples to apples,’ we feel like this is a tricky question. Our answer is no. We think it’s impossible for the job duties of a ‘day-of wedding coordinator’ to mean something different to you than it does to us, and the last thing we want is any opportunity for miscommunication
However, we do have a team leader at the Conrad Mansion who is available before you arrive on-site and throughout your big day. This team member is there to help however they can—whether that means being an extra set of hands for decorating, answering questions, showing you where something is, or assisting your vendors and directing them as necessary. Their goal is to do everything possible to make your day go smoothly and be as stress-free as possible! (But we still don’t consider them a day-of wedding coordinator.)
We do not offer second tours. What we offer instead is our Booked Couples Open House, which is held once a month from April to November. You can come as often as you’d like. Many couples who book more than a year in advance like to visit the month before their wedding. This way, you can see what is blooming and what your day will look like.
